    Clamping system SB

The clamping mandrel is designed for turning the outer contour of the workpiece.

Functional description:

Clamping is initiated via two drawbars on the machine side. The outer drawbar actuates the two inclined bolts (system SB) with clamping jaws via a draw element. They clamp the workpiece on the outer contour of the cam. The inner drawbar actuates the two inclined bolts (system SB) with clamping jaws which are offset by 90° by means of a second drawbar. They clamp the workpiece on the smaller, left-hand pin. The face contact is made by three fixed supporting surfaces of the fixed stop. Release of clamping is initiated via the two drawbars of the machine.

Advantages:

- Two independent clamping levels for accurate and repeatable workpiece alignment
- Clamping device can be aligned
- The clamping system enables large strokes of the clamping jaws
