The clamping chuck with pressure unit is designed for an electron beam welding process in vacuum.
Functional description:
The rotor shaft is clamped with a clamping bush (system SG) via integrated compression springs and released via a pressure bolt on the machine side. The turbine wheel is clamped via the pressure unit with a collet (system SZ). Integrated compression springs ensure the release of clamping. The turbine wheel is moved downwards by 2 mm by means of the pressure unit, until it lies flat against the rotor shaft. Electron beam welding in a vacuum welds the two parts together to form the turbocharger rotor wheel.
Advantages:
- Repeat-accurate clamping of the components for a precisely fitting contact connection
