The clamping mandrel is designed for turning the inner and outer contour, as well as the flat face of the workpiece.
Functional description:
Clamping is initiated via two drawbars on the machine side. The inner drawbar actuates four wedge jaws (SK system) via a clamping bolt for clamping in the square profile of the workpiece. The outer drawbar actuates the clamping bush (system SG) for clamping in the bore via a draw piece. The stop surfaces in the workpiece are truncated pyramid-shaped. The end stop is designed to float to avoid axial jamming.
Advantages:
- two independently operating clamping points with different clamping systems (diameter and square clamping)- floating end stop for optimum radial clearance
