Hybrid approach: Micro-milling integrated in additive manufacturing

Webinar theme days Medical Technology 2021

Do you have complex workpieces? Innovative machining technologies, used in parallel and sequentially, give engineers and users new possibilities for the production of medical technology components.

The combination of selective laser melting in the powder bed with subtractive 3-axis high-speed milling in one machining centre offers significantly higher accuracies and surface finishes than are possible with conventional laser melting in the powder bed. This leads to a minimisation of the following process chain as well as completely new scope for design, structures or material properties of medical technology components.

Our experts Andreas Bremstahler and Frank Eckstein from FRANKEN's application technology department provide insights into this new type of machining on 11.3. at 10:00 am.
