The clamping chuck is designed for turning the inner contour (ceramic ring) of the workpiece.

Functional description:

The thin-walled workpiece is supported flat by a fixed stop on the outside and a pendulum stop on the inside. During loading, the pendulum end stop adapts to the workpiece contour and is pressed into the clamping device. The pre-centring of the workpiece is done via the internal tension of the diaphragm (system SM). Clamping is initiated via a drawbar on the machine side and is transmitted to the diaphragm (system SM) via an intermediate bolt. At the same time, the stop unit with pendulum end stop is axially fixed in position via deflection bolts with integrated disc spring assemblies. Release of clamping is initiated via the drawbar of the machine.

Advantages:

- Low-deformation clamping of filigree components thanks to the internal tension of the diaphragm
- Equipped with central nozzle for cooling lubricant
- Two types of end stops significantly reduce vibrations and thus guarantee optimum workpiece support: on the outside a rigid annular fixed end stop and on the inside an axially adaptive detachable pendulum end stop
- The end stop is equipped with air system control unit
- Additional protection against soiling due to sealing air in the clamping device
