Mounting position: horizontalClamping system SM
The clamping chuck is designed for grinding the transverse bore of the workpiece.
Functional description:
The clamping chuck is offset by 90° on the base flange, so that the bore to be ground is exactly in line with the axis of the machine spindle. The workpiece is roughly pre-centred via a positioning pin. The clamping is initiated via the inherent tension of the diaphragm (system SM). In the process, the three clamping segments of the diaphragm are pressed against the workpiece and clamp it on the right-hand locating spigot. The tension of the diaphragm is released by means of hydraulic pressure on an integrated piston. Two large counterweights are installed to compensate for the unbalance when turning the clamping chuck.
Advantages:
- The clamping device has an unbalance compensation, because the centre of gravity of the workpiece is not in line with the axis of rotation of the clamping device.- Resistant to soiling due to diaphragm design- Clamping device is equipped with components (Dittel sensor) for process monitoring of grinding applications
