The clamping mandrel is designed for grinding the outer contour of the workpiece.

Functional description:

The clamping initiation for centring of the workpiece is effected by an EMUGE power transmission element by means of manually generated torque. The force is transmitted to the two clamping sleeves (system SP). Clamping takes place in two planes. The face clamping is initiated by a second EMUGE power transmission element by means of manually generated torque. The clamping mandrel is placed between the centres for the machining operation.

Advantages:

- Two independently expanding clamping points for very accurate repeatable workpiece alignment
- Protection against soiling of the workpiece by a lateral cover or fixed stop
- Machining of different workpiece sizes thanks to exchangeable clamping sleeves
