The clamping chuck is designed for grinding of the workpiece.

Functional description:

The clamping is introduced pneumatically via two integrated pistons. A pressure cone with five guided wedge jaws is pressed to the right via the first piston. These push radially inwards over a tapered surface and attach on two planes against the workpiece. At the same time, a thrust piece with a tapered surface is pressed to the right via the second piston. The collet (System SZ) slides onto a second, opposing tapered surface and centres the pressure cone with the wedge jaws. The release of the clamping is initiated pneumatically via two integrated pistons. This concept makes it possible to clamp a diameter difference of 12 mm.

Advantages:

- two clamping planes arranged in axial direction for the precise alignment of the longitudinal axis of the workpiece
- Low-deformation clamping of thin-walled components via finely adjustable pneumatic clamping pressure
- Large radial stroke of 6 mm per wedge jaw enables accessibility to the clamping point behind a flange-shaped contour on the workpiece
